Mechanical Assembly

Reports to Butch Harless/Bob Gill

Shift 1st
Hours 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Rate $15.65 / per hour

Assemblies or sub-assemblies of various sized sheet metal and extruded parts.

Basic Requirements:
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Basic Blueprint Reading
  • Ability to read bills of material and routings
  • Ability to progress in a reasonable amount of time to ensure production requirements
  • Ability to work with Pneumatic Air Tools
  • Basic shop math: Fraction-Decimal-Tolerances
  • Basic electrical wiring

Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Physical Demands:

  • Lifting is in the light-Medium range (35 lbs. to 50 lbs.)
  • Carrying is in the light-medium range (35 lbs. to 50 lbs.)
  • Pushing and pulling is in the light-medium range (35 lbs. to 50 lbs.)
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, squat and bend
  • Continual use of hands:  simple grasp, fine manipulation, repetitive assembly

Machinery:

  • Required to use power tools
  • Arm Controls
  • Fixed Machinery
  • Utility knife

  • Protective Equipment:

  • Steel toe shoes
  • Eye Protection
